Is your content selling?

Lets say you write quality content, people enjoy your work and even share it. But for some reason you are not earning any revenue. You probably question your self wondering why I’m not earning any money? The real question is what does your content offer to your readers? Are you offering a product or service of yours, displaying Ads, or any affiliate links? You cannot write quality content and expect to earn money if you’re not offering anything.. There is always the exception of selling your own ebook. But I’m just referring to your typical article that you see on a website or blog. The key thing to do is OFFER something. Don’t be ashamed! If you write a quality article with quality information about a product or service your readers are interested in chances are they wont mind helping you out by using your affiliate link. I receive emails all the time with people asking me do I have a affiliate link for this product? Simply because they respect me and want to help me out. (Thanks guys (:) So next time you write a article and question why aren’t you earning money remember this article.. Also have you did a site audit lately?

Remember to look for some things when asking your self “Am I earning any revenue from my content?”

Good common questions to ask

  • Am I displaying anything to earn revenue from? (Affiliate links, Ads etc..)
  • Is my traffic good? Do I have a good amount of traffic?
  • Is your traffic unique? Do you have the targeted visitors you need?

That’s exactly what I was missing (Was, corrected that weeks ago). I wasn’t offering anything or was offering just too much without focus. Thx for reminder btw.

Well all I think I need is just some more traffic. It’s really hard to get traffic and make them stay.

Hey Rob,

I am not earning any revenue from my blog yet, and not looking to try anytime soon. There are many more important things I could be doing at this moment. Like taking the time to read some of your post :-)

Hope you didn’t think I forgot about these, helllllll no!

Awesome advice for when I try to implement making money into my blog, I will keep this article for future reference.

God bless,
William Veasley
