five tips to become a better affiliate marketer

Affiliate tips for affiliate marketers Was very good and well informative but I thought let me add some of my affiliate tips into this to. Nothing wrong with spreading your knowledge right?

Nowadays people just sign up for a affiliate program and call it quits. No promotion of the product no nothing. They sign up, post their affiliate link and expect to make money. Now I have to admit, for very few people this technique does work. But it’s not effective and if you haven’t already notice by doing this you’re already cutting your profits down tremendously.

I’ve conducted a list of six things you can do to help monitor and increase your affiliate earnings.

  1. Know your product
  2. Promote your product
  3. Keep promoting your product
  4. Consider your traffic
  5. How good does your product benefit your audience?

Know don’t think I’ll leave it at just that I will go into depth about each of the six points I’ve made.

Know your product

It’s important to know about your affiliate product because how are you suspost to convince people to buy it, if you know nothing about it? It does not add up.
When I promote one of my products I make sure I know at least 80% of the information about my product. Why? So when I write my article about it I’m able to ask a few basic questions about it, state the pros and cons about it and most importantly share how the product will benefit you.

Promote your product

Okay so you signed up and your ready to go. Now what? Promote! Promote your product let your audience know and readers know about your product and that you like your product. A good and effective way I use is writing a article about my product. But I make sure I write my article effectively by…

  1. Telling people why I like this product
  2. Explaining how this will benefit them
  3. I tell the pros and cons of the product
  4. I tell my readers why they should purchase this product

I use all these techniques and more when writing a review on my affiliate product.

Keep promoting your product

Okay, you wrote the article now what? Just stop? No! Keep promoting post tweets on Twitter, a video on YouTube, share it on Digg never stop promoting your product.  Keep gaining traffic to your product, let the cycle be never-ending. Writing a article is just not enough.

This is where I like to refer as blogs being a bit more effective to promoting your article because if you have a good amount of RSS readers they will see your post and go ahead and read it. This give you the upper hand in gaining your targeted traffic.

Consider your traffic

Look at your product then look at your traffic. Who do you target? And what are you trying to sell? If you target internet marketers do not expect to earn tons of affiliate sales by trying to sell them cars. You have to pick a product that is relevant to your traffic, audience and readers. Or else you can’t expect to earn good sales.

How does your product benefit your audience?

What does your product have to offer to your readers? This is why it’s good to connect a relationship with your readers, to know what they want. Keep in mind a couple things to…

  1. How much does your product cost?
  2. Is it a monthly fee
  3. Is it a valuable product?

Remember in todays economical world people are very thrifty.  Keep in mind if your product cost $150 do you think people will be so quick to buy your product? This is why it’s better to strive towards low priced products. Does your product have a monthly fee? If so how much? Is it something your readers will be happy with? Also… How valuable is your product to your audience? Value is everything. It’s just like buying webhosting people will look for the most reputable webhost that will benefit them best.

Those are some good tips, if you’re building a site with a long-term outlook you would want to promote only quality products too. Too many people succumb to spamming or promoting a mediocre product on every other article they post.
