Do follo comments is good to bring in new commenters and armed with a spam filter you can control spam somehow.. but what I’ve noticed is tha the author is running a nofollow comment section on his own blog even though he preaches the virtues of dofollow

Login Lock down is a great tool to use for your site. It does help keep hackers away and you can ban their IP if they try!

That’s a good list you got there! I love the use of the plugins but i was a little apprehensive installing too many plugins my blog. I’ve read that it can degrade your performance.(Haven’t actually witnessed this yet…but wondering if others have.) Have you ever experienced any performance issues with your blog due to having alot of plugins?

Never Tried the Maintenance mode plugin. Thats a “must download”. I think “All-in-One-SEO Pack” is a good one too that i always use for my blogs.

Super Cache is a must have for any blog, its a bit powerful so do some research on how to use it properly. I also like pretty links. I find it better than using WP redirect function.
