’09 A year of lessons, success & growth

by Rob Rammuny on December 30, 2009 · 20 comments

It’s no secret to me that 2009 was by far my most successful year ever. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and recapping on 2009 and also discussing with some fellow friends of mine about there year too.

Here’s a glimpse of what I’ve done in 2009

  • Launched Robswebtips
  • Authored the eBook (Ultimate traffic eBook) – Sold it
  • Launched my first business (membership site) – How2beaYoutubePartner.com
  • Interviewed millionaires
  • Hung out and traveled with millionares
  • Earned a 100,000 Alexa ranking for Robswebtips
  • Traveled around the world
  • Earned the luxury of living “The dot com lifestyle”

And the list only continues. . .

Adventures

Living the dot com lifestyle has allowed me to travel all over the world and do things I’ve never imagined before.

Florida

I was able to travel to Florida stress free, enjoyed luxury meals and  enjoyed every minute of my time there. Traveling to beaches, Go-karting, paint-balling, golfing and many other adventurous events that consumed all of my vacation.

Atlanta

I traveled to Atlanta to go to the worlds largest aquarium (well at least that’s what they call it). I was able to meet an employee from Google and learned about their data-centers and seen how stuff worked. This is also where I’m spending my new years at and watching the ball drop.

Canada

I was able to travel to Canada with my friend to celebrate is birthday and eat a nice 5 star breakfast, lunch and dinner while staying at a very nice hotel.

California

Traveled to California for a maverick business conference, stayed in a nice hotel and left the website to run on auto-pilot.

2010, A new adventure

As 2010 enters, I prepare for another mind-blowing year and have even set some newly found challenges for myself.

Here’s a few. . .

  • 250+ Active members on How2beaYoutubePartner
  • Post more frequently (daily, if not every other day)
  • Become a more serious blogger
  • Travel more (places including. . .Mexico and United Kingdom)
  • Connect more with my readers
  • Write a eBook or eCourse

Blogging wise my main one was appearing on BBC Radio as an “Expert” (their words, not mine!) on Blogging. Been asked to do it again as well was very cool!

Personal wise it definitely was travelling. Went to Japan & Thailand, which were incredible countries.

That’s great! Can’t forget about being interviewed on Robswebtips! (Joking). How was Japan? I might make a trip there.

Good, if a little expensive & a little insane. Constant noise and bustling, don’t go there to relax (which is why I also went to the Thai beaches!)

Thanks Michael! Did you have any goals you plan on working on?

I had similar goals…mainly blog more, video blog more, build my network, etc. lots of stuff in the works. My main focus is building a community around my content (web design, branding, marketing). then I’ll slowly work on an ebook, something of value to monetize the traffic ;)

Congrats for 2009 Rob.

I know 2010 will be great for you. My main accomplishment last year was starting my own web development business and fired my boss. For 2010, I plan to write a couple e-books, start earning from my blog, expand my business and lots more stuff. Overall, my goals are quite similar to yours.
